The New England Revolution have lost yet another Tournament or MLS Cup final. With this recent 4-2 defeat to FC Dallas in the U.S. Open Cup final their over all record drops to a terrible 1-6. This season hasn’t been the greatest to watch as a fan, with so many ups and downs, late game goals given up and just all around poor play, but there just may be some hope for this season down the stretch.
The Revs have been looking to make me eat my words. After I had written them off for the year, they decided to pick up their game. The Revs have now won their last 3 MLS matches, the cup loss does not count towards record. This nice little win streak has moved them from 8th to 6th on the table, that being the final playoff spot. If they can pull off a winning record over their final 4 matches, The Revolution could very well may be making their 4th straight trip to the playoffs, and could even be seeded 5th. Which would be absolutely grand after how they played earlier in the season. So let us cheer on and hope this play continues New England, and lets see The Revs prove me wrong.
